Roger John Soderholm

Real Estate Broker

Roger John Soderholm, 68, died at St Vincent’s Medical Center on June 16. He was a son of Carl and Helen Turoczi Soderholm.

He will be remembered by his family including three children, John Soderholm and his wife, Karen, of Newtown, Cindy Phelps and her husband, Todd, of Bethel, and Julie Fairfield and her husband, Derek, of Trumbull; his children’s mother, Maureen Shea of Huntington; his cherished grandchildren, Robert and Christopher Phelps, Jack and Courtney Fairfield, and Craig, Allison, and Alex Soderholm; one brother, Jerry Soderholm of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Dorothy Kozma of Bridgeport.

A lifelong resident of Fairfield before his recent move to Bridgeport, Roger was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School, Class of 1956, where he proudly played on the basketball team that won the New England State Championship. He attended the University of Bridgeport and received his degree in engineering.

Mr Soderholm was a real estate broker for Fairfield County Real Estate for many years prior to working with Realty Executives.

A graveside committal service was held on June 21 at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
