Safety was a top priority for the day, and Youth Services did their part by requiring every participant under the age of 18 to wear a helmet.

The O’Connor family took a break from their riding to spread out a blanket and watch the traffic go by. “The weather is great,” said a contented Sean O’Connor.

Randy Calderone lauches off a platform and down a railing, a move he prefers over typical ramp jumping. Randy was present Saturday to not only skate, but to give some pointers to those new to the sport.

Wheeled vehicles came in different forms, as one of two unicyclists swerved around Fairfield Hill’s campus.

The heart sisters often ride around the campus of Fairfield Hills, preferring its isolation to their Fawnwood Road home, where they have to contend with traffic.
