âParenting in the Teen Zoneâ welcomes parents of middle and high school students to this wonderful, new episode of life. There are five sessions beginning on Thursday, October 4, and continuing on October 11, 18, 25, and November 1. Time is 7 pm. The fee is $25 per person or $35 a couple. New Moms. Moms of newborns to walkers, a ten-week program, has begun. There are two sessions â 9 to 10 am and 10:30 to 11:30 am.
Moms of 1- to 2-year-olds, another ten-week program, also began this week, from 10 to 11 am. Both groups will meet at NYS and are free. Space is limited so please call to register.
Support Group for Parents of Children with Learning Differences. Whether you child has a special learning need, physical challenge or chronic illness, emotional challenge or ADD, this group offers support and skill building. Meetings are Monday mornings bimonthly, 9:30 to 11 am; the next meeting is October 1. Call for more information.
Fathersâ Nights. Beginning once a month on September 24 from 7:30 to 9 pm. Fathers have special relationships with their children. Come find out why these evenings get rave reviews.
Youth Programs
Super Sittersâ Babysitting Classes. The first session is already filled. The second session will be accelerated and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, December 4, 6, 11, 13, and 18. The classes meet from 4 to 5:30 pm and the cost is $35. These classes tend to fill quickly so register as soon as possible.
4-H
Elementary School, Monday from 3:15 to 4:30; Middle School, Wednesday from 4 to 5:15. As long as the Youth Garden grows, 4H will be meeting there (on the grounds of Fairfield Hills). Call to register or for information.

Mind Body Spirit Returns
Students in grades 6-8 will develop flexibility, balance, concentration and awareness emphasizing kindness to self and others. Using elements of Pa Kua, Tâai Chi, and other systems, the will be tailored to meet the abilities and interests of the students.
Classes begin Monday, September 24, and continue weekly until November 19; no class on November 12. This is a free program presented by Master CH Chen and Deborah Chen. Call to register.
New Children Of Divorce
Help your children through this emotional time in their lives. Support groups begin the week of September 24. For grades 6-8, Monday from 6 to 7 pm; for elementary students, Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Call to register.
New I Am Beautiful
Girls are cordially invited to attend two-part evening workshops each month to discuss and learn about issues that are important to them. Grades 6-8, Tuesdays, October 2 and October 9; grades 9-12, Thursdays, October 4 and October 11, both from 6:30 to 8 pm. Call to register.

Youth Group Meetings
The HS YAB will meet on Monday, September 24 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
The MS YABâs first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 25, from 4 to 5 pm.
NYCAAP meets on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm.
