Garden Walk Planned At Bellamy-Ferriday
BETHLEHEM â The Ballamy-Ferriday House & Garden will begin its annual Historic Garden Walk series with its popular âLilac Walkâ on Sunday, May 15, at 3 pm.
Join Jane Blaurok on a tour of the 20 varieties of lilacs in the Ferriday Garden collection to learn of their history and care. The collection includes white, purple, pink and magenta lilacs that bloom from May to late June.
The Historic Garden Walk series will continue on the third Sunday of each month at 3 pm, June through September. Future topics will be roses, ecology in the garden, organic gardening principles and practices, and garden fashions and traditions.
Cost for each program is $5.
The Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden, located in the center of Bethlehem, is a property of the Antiquarian & Landmarks Society, which was founded in 1936 to preserve and interpret the heritage of Connecticut.
