Stephen J.     Channey, Jr

Stephen J. Channey, Jr, 47, of Danbury, formerly of Deep River, died June 25 at Heritage Heights Care Center, Danbury. He was the husband of Bonnie (Graham) Channey of Deep River.

He was the brother of Tami (Channey) Whitlock of Newtown.

Mr Channey was born December 30, 1953, in Norwalk, a son of Marion (LaVoie) Haskell of Bethel and Stephen J. Channey, Sr, of St Augustine, Fla.

In addition to his parents, wife, and sister, he is survived by a son, Justin Channey; a daughter, Jessica Channey; and a stepson, Salvatore Graham, all of Deep River; his stepfather, Maurice Haskell of Bethel; three brothers, Allan Channey of Woodstock, Eric Channey of Bethel, and John Channey of DeLand, Fla.; three other sisters, Bonnie (Channey) Schoonmaker of Middlebury, Cynthia (Channey) Keefe of Woodstock, and Joanna (Channey) Cates of Jefferson, N.C.

The funeral service was held at Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, on June 28. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.
