Walter Zymbaluk

Walter Zymbaluk, 79, of Stratford, born on February 4, died on August 17. He was born in New York and grew up in Newtown on a dairy farm.

He lived in Stratford for 40 years. He attended Julliard School of Music and was a trained bass-baritone singer. Walter was a tool and die maker and worked at Peerless Aluminum, J. Horvath, Remington Arms and retired from Bryant Electric. He was active in the Stratford Baldwin Senior Center and Calvery Church.

Mr Zymbaluk was predeceased by his wife, Mary, his parents, Fredoce and Anna Zymbaluk; his niece, Cindy Lubocki; and his dog, Poncho. He is survived by his sons, Andrew of Stratford, and Greg of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and his devoted daughter, Deenie Southard and her husband, Joe, of Trumbull; eight grand children: Nicholas and Draceena Zymbaluk, Rick and Ryan Southard, Justin, Jarad, Jarden, and Jentry Zymbaluk; his sister, Patricia Lubocki and her husband, Gene, of Texas; sisters-in-law, Arlene Macura and Kathie Delkos of California; brother-in-law, Joe Macura and his wife, Carole, of Indiana; and cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13, at 10:30 am at Calvary Church, White Plains Road, Trumbull. Donations can be made in Walter’s memory to: Walter Zymbaluk Scholarship Fund, Bridgeport Regional Vocational School, 50 St Stephen’s Road, Bridgeport, CT 06605. The Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
