Super Scientific Circus To Visit

The Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD — The circus is coming to town, and it’s all about science and how science can be fun and funny.

The Super Scientific Circus will be at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and Performing Arts on Saturday, January 31, for two performances – 11 am and 2 pm.

Everyone loves a circus and everyone loves watching everyday objects do extraordinary things. Trent the Mime, Mr Fish and other performers use their amazing circus skills, involving boomerangs, bubbles, beachballs and bull whips to introduce such scientific principles as friction, inertia, centrifugal force, aerodynamics, sonic booms, air pressure and ultraviolet light.

As a result, those in the audience –  whether young in age or merely young at heart –  learn how to make and throw their own boomerangs and learn how to put a needle through a balloon.

All tickets are $15. To purchase tickets call The Playhouse box office at 203-438-5795.

The theater is at 80 East Ridge; directions are available by phoning the box office or visiting its website,                                              www.RidgefieldPlayhouse.org.
