William J.      Whittaker

William J Whittaker, age 72, died June 30. Mr Whittaker was born in Wilmington, Del., to the late Theresa McGonigle McShane and James Whittaker.

He graduated from Saleslanum School in 1949 and Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1953. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from the banking profession.

Mr Whittaker was a life member of the fraternal order of Elks, Eagles, and VFW #05447.

He is survived by four children, Diane, William J., James, and Kevin; six grandchildren; and a sister, Maryellen Beers of Hawleyville.

The service and interment were held privately.
