NWC Welcomes The Dragon Year

The Newtown Woman’s Club held its first luncheon meeting of the millennium at the Panda King restaurant in Brookfield.

The year 2000 is the Year of the Dragon and co-owner of the Panda King, Ai-Ping Zhu, spoke to the membership about the customs and traditions that revolve around the Chinese New Year celebrations. The membership listened to traditional Chinese music and tasted a variety of foods prepared especially for the New Year Celebration.
