Paul L. Hoffman
Paul L. Hoffman, 84, of Sandy Hook, and previously of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Eleanore (Barnett) Hoffman, died April 13 at the Pope John Paul II Health Center, Danbury.
Mr Hoffman was born March 13, 1917, in Harrisburg, Penn., son of the late Howard and Harriet (Fowler) Hoffman, and lived in Stratford for more than 40 years before moving to Sandy Hook four years ago. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, and a recipient of the bronze medal. He was a retired design engineer manager with Avco-Lycoming, Stratford. He was also a member of the St James Council Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his daughter, Christine Wallmark and her husband, Gerald, of Sandy Hook; one brother, Howard Hoffman of Hyattsville, Md., and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two granddaughters, Lisa and Lara Wallmark, of Sandy Hook; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Bessie Walbran.
His funeral service was held April 17 in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford and in St Mark Roman Catholic Church, Stratford, for a mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Monsignor Lawrence McMahon. Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
