A Huge Loss

To the Editor:

“What can we do for ya today my man?”

“Two yards of brown, Pop,” I would reply.

That is one of the greetings I would get when ever I would go to the mulch yard to get mulch. James “Pop” Walsh was always there to greet, and load your truck, at the JF Walsh Mulch yard in Sandy Hook. His passing is a huge loss to everyone that knew him.

I have only known him for five years, but in that short time I have become a good friend of his and the rest of the Walsh family. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Walsh family; I am truly sorry for your loss. Pop was a great man and will be deeply missed by me and many, many other frequent customers and friends of the mulch yard. It just won’t be the same to go there and not have him there to greet you. Rest in Peace, Pop.
