MONROE — Congregation Adath Israel of Newtown will present “Cabaret Night,” an evening of music, dancing, fine food and a silent auction, on Saturday, October 3. The special event will be held at Roberto’s Restaurant, 505 Main Street in Monroe.

Organizers say the event, which will begin at 6:30 pm, will be entertaining for all who attend. The evening will feature entertainment by The Greg Packham Group along with a buffet dinner.

Guests will be treated to a spread of appetizers, entrees such as chicken marsala, roast beef, sole oreganata, penne alla vodka and rigatoni, as well as a venetian table with assorted desserts.

The Greg Packham Group, formed in 1973, performs a diverse blend of musical genres including original and standard jazz, blues, funk and Latin tunes. Led by its namesake, the Connecticut-based group has played most clubs in the area as well as the New Haven Jazz Festival, Levitt Pavilion in Westport, and other venues. Mr Packam has recorded many CDs with other artists and plays a multitude of instruments including bass, drums, percussion and keyboards.

A silent auction will feature a wide array of items that run the gamut from sporting opportunities and events to classical music season tickets. In addition, there will be theater tickets, dining gift certificates, retail items and assorted gift baskets.

Individual tickets are $55, and are available by calling 203-459-0089 or 203-426-5188. Tickets can also be reserved by sending email to bhgoldstein18@aol.com or visiting adath.ticketleap.com/come-to-the-cabaret/

In addition, tickets will be sold at Congregation Adath Israel, 115 Huntingtown Road, on Sunday, September 27, from 8:45 to 9:30 am and 11:30 am to noon.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Adath Israel’s Sisterhood is sponsoring this evening. It is a non-profit event and proceeds will be used to support Adath Israel.
