Newtown Dems Plan

‘Get Out The Vote’ Rally

The Newtown Democratic Town Committee is sponsoring a Get-Out–the-Vote Rally on Saturday, October 23, from noon until 2 pm, at Democratic Headquarters, 6 Glen Road, Sandy Hook. The rally will give all voters, regardless of party, an opportunity to talk informally with local candidates:

*Chris Lyddy, candidate for the State Assembly, 106th District,

*Michele Mount, candidate for the Assembly, 112th District, and

*Tim Holian, candidate for the Northern Fairfield County District Judge of Probate.

Candidates for statewide offices have also been invited.

James Juliano, chairman of the Newtown Democratic Town Committee, said the rally is open to all voters, not just registered Democrats.

“These informal get-togethers are always informative and fun,” Mr Juliano said. “We hope voters can join us on October 23rd for a hotdog, soda, and conversation.”

Anna Wiedemann, vice-chair of the Democratic Town Committee described the rally as “democracy at its best.”

“It’s a chance for all citizens to share their thoughts with the people who want to represent them,” she added.
