Former Danbury Schools Employee
Arlene E. Collins, 66, wife of Frederick Collins of Newtown, died November 12, in Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Bridgeport, December 26, 1940, a daughter of Edmund J. Hartz and Rose Wade Raymond.
Before her retirement, Mrs Collins was employed as a school bus monitor for Danbury Schools and previously was employed at the Burndy Corp in New Milford. She had been a resident of Newtown for 18 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Gerald Laughlin of Fort Myers, Fla.; three daughters, Lori Johnson of Bethel, and Jessica and Tina Collins of Newtown; three stepsons, Frederick Collins of Wingdale, N.Y., Richard Collins of Amenia, N.Y., and Eric Collins of New Milford; two stepdaughters, Lisa Johnson of Pennsylvania and Jenny Stickle of Wingdale, N.Y.; a brother, Henry Hartz of Bridgeport; two sisters, Judy Dalton of Stratford and Linda Tombari of Fall River, Mass.; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 15 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment was in Newtown Village Cemetery.
