A Most Deserving Person

To the Editor,

I was so delighted to hear of Karen King’s hero award. She is a most deserving person, kind and caring and gives of herself.

I had the privilege to meet Miss King on several occasions in Ireland. We got involved in the Pencils for Peace project in Reed Intermediate School. Miss King and her students collected a large amount of donations for the School in Kosovo, which in fact had been totally destroyed by enemy mortars. The children in the school studied in tents in subzero conditions awaiting a new school to be built.

I am honored to be associated with Miss King and Reed Intermediate School.
