Aurelia A.      Cottingham
Aurelia A. Cottingham, 92, mother of Robert Cottingham of Blackman Road, Newtown, died Tuesday, July 16, in the Pope John Paul II Health Care Center, Danbury, where she lived the past five years.
She is survived, besides her son, by five grandchildren, Ronan and Conor Murray and Reid, Molly, and Kyle Cottingham. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia E. Murray, whose husband Thomas Murray survives her.
The wife of the late James G. Cottingham, Mrs Cottingham had resided in Brooklyn her entire life until she moved to Danbury.
She was formerly employed as manager of a Merrill Lynch office in Brooklyn. For many years she was a volunteer teacher of English in Brooklyn schools. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 11:30 am at St Rose Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. There are no calling hours.
