Former Manager At Blackstone Corp

Gordon F. Brown, 74, died November 7, of cancer. He was born July 6, 1936, in Rutland, Vt., the son of John J. and Mildred F. Stewart Brown.

He was a 1954 graduate of Mount St Joseph Academy in Vermont and served in the US Air Force in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Shreveport, La.

For many years, Mr Brown was a production manager at Blackstone Corp in Newtown, retiring several years ago.

He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and horseshoes.

Survivors include his longtime companion Joan Dwyer and her daughter, Lisa Dwyer, both of Newtown; three siblings; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Brown, and a sister, Marilyn Bowen.

At his request, there will be no service or calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Newtown and in Vermont.
