In a pair of road matches, Newtown High School's girls' golf team defeated Joel Barlow of Redding 211 to 221 on May 9 and defeated Weston 198-219 on May 14.

Newtown's results from the Barlow match are as follows: Sarah Houle 35, Nidhi Mukka 66, Camryn Findley 63, Liz Weisgerber 54, Sydney Marino 59.

The NHS boys defeated New Fairfield 181-199, and Masuk of Monroe beat Newtown, scoring 168 to Newtown's 181, at Rock Ridge Country Club on May 14.

Newtown is 7-4 overall and 6-3 in South-West Conference play.
