Laxmen Fall To Rebels And Get Ready For Playoffs

Newtown High School's boys' lacrosse team capped off the regular season with a 14-7 loss at New Fairfield on May 12.
This marked the second-most goals allowed by the Rebels this season, and the most a South-West Conference foe has put up against the team. New Fairfield carried an unbeaten record into its season finale, against Guilford.
Tucker Garrity had three goals and two assists, Declan Sughrue scored twice, Evan Eggleston had a goal and two assists, and Jeff Garrity scored for Newtown, which went 13-3 overall and 9-1 in SWC play.
The Nighthawks and RebelsÃÂ are both scheduled to host SWC tournament quarterfinal-round games on Thursday, May 17.
