Three Problems Solved

To the Editor:

On the subjects of Fairfield Hills and the Walnut Tree 2 complex, wouldn’t it make sense to put the complex where Fairfield Hills is and then rename the complex? This new plan would save the trees of Walnut Tree Hill and find a terrific use of Fairfield Hills. The area around Fairfield Hills is not as hectic or full of traffic as Walnut Tree is, so the elderly people could walk around without worrying if they are going to be hit by a car. All Fairfield Hills would need is a little renovating.

Another building, not being used for the condos, could house the 5/6 school because there are enough building for the condos and a 5/6 school. The fields could be turned into playgrounds that the children and possibly the elderly can use. During the school year, the fields could be used as practice fields for NHS sports teams. Also the Park and Rec could use these fields for its teams.

Here are three problems solved without killing trees and using a “campus” that is already in Newtown.

Sincerely,

Gina Gilroy
