The High School Pilgrim Fellowship of the Newtown Congregational Church will attend a Gospel Sing with the New York East Village Gospel Choir Sunday evening from 5 until 7 pm. The Newtown group will be among other groups participating.

The Newtown Congregational teens will sponsor a potluck or spaghetti dinner for the first Sunday of Advent, November 28, at their evening meeting at 5 pm and they will make craft gifts for caroling at Ashlar.

They will worship with families in the All-Church worship November 28 when the Greening of the Church will mark the first Sunday of Advent. Families will meet in the undercroft after the 10 am service to make craft items and for a luncheon.

Reservations should be made by this Sunday, November 21, so that sufficient craft materials will be available. Call Dolores at 426-9024. She needs to know the number of children and their ages.

Caroling, craft making, and fellowship will be the highlights of the potluck luncheon. The hospitality committee will supply coffee, other beverages, and condiments. Those attending are asked to bring finger sandwiches for 8, if your name begins with A-I, a salad to share for J-P, and a dessert for Q-Z.

During the worship the Christian Education Committee will oversee a program for children ages 2 through 6 in the undercroft. The children will come to church with their families and go downstairs after the Children’s message. There will be no Sunday School.
