Two Nights Of Comedy

With Dom Irrera

DANBURY — Dom Irrera — the voice of Duke The Dog on the number three rated program on the number one kid’s network in the universe, and the star of a DirectTV comedy show that has been renewed for ten more episodes — will make a rare two-night appearance in Connecticut this weekend.

Mr Irrera’s natural style and hilarious cast of comedy characters is pure “gut-wrenching hilarity,” owner of the Treehouse Comedy Clubs, which will host Mr Irrera’s performances. The comedian will be performing at the Ocean Grille, 464 Boston Post Road in Orange, on Friday, May 16, at 8 and 10 pm; and then at The Treehouse in Danbury, on the upper level of New Sorrento at 32 Newtown Road, on Saturday, May 17, for another pair of shows at 8 and 10.

Mr Irrera is currently starring as Judge Irrera in the Direct TV courtroom comedy The Supreme Court of Comedy. Council for the plaintiffs and defendants include not-so-legal-eagles Paul Rodriguez, Tom Arnold, Sinbad, Joe Piscopo, Elon Gold and Victoria Jackson just to mention a few. The series features real people settling their small claims cases with Judge Irrera presiding over these kooky casts of counselors.

He was named “One of the 100 Greatest Stand-up Comics of All-Time” by Comedy Central, chosen “One of the Ten Funniest People in Los Angeles,” has been nominated six times for an American Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Comic, and is a two time CableAce Award winner.

Mr Irrera is a regular on The Tonight Show, Conan, Letterman and the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He has also appeared in some classic situation comedies including Seinfeld, King of Queens, The Drew Carey Show and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Oh yea, and he is the voice of Duke The Dog on Nick at Nite’s Back to the Barnyard, the network’s number three most watched kid’s show on all of television.

Tickets are $22, and Perry Gardner will be the opener for both performances.

For tickets, contact the reservation and ticket information lines at 795-4588 for the Orange appearance or at 744-5575 for Danbury; or go online to TreehouseComedy.com.
