James R. Main

James R. Main, 68, of 134 Taunton  Hill Road, Newtown, died January 23 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of Katherine (Burns) Main.

Born in Danbury June 21, 1931, he was a son of the late James and Agnes (Chapman) Main. He was a graduate of Danbury High School. He lived in Danbury before moving to Newtown 33 years ago.

Mr Main served in the National Guard and was activated to duty during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He was the owner and operator of Main’s Appliance Repair.

Funeral services were private.

Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
