Decorate Your Own Wreath

WOODBURY — Flanders Nature Center is inviting the public to join staff members and let their creativity bloom with a pair of workshops on Wednesday, November 29.

“Decorate Your Own Wreath” will be offered first from 4:15 to 5:30 pm, and again from 7 to 9 pm. The afternoon edition is for parent and child; the evening is for everyone.

Participants will receive a 12-inch fresh balsam wreath, and from there anything goes. Working with the base of greens, participants will learn how to use dried and fresh materials from the local area to create their own home decoration.

All materials and craft supplied will be provided. Local wreathmaker and florist Leslie Gamsjager will lead both workshops.

Cost is $20 per parent-child team or per person. Registration is required, so call 203/263-3711 for reservations or additional details. The nature center is on Flanders Road.
