Jean C. Miller

Treasured Family

Jean C. Miller, 72, of Lenox, Mass., died peacefully on June 1, at home after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born on October 17, 1937, in London, England, Jean was a longtime resident of both Norwalk and New Canaan.

She is survived by her beloved husband, two daughters including Laurie Brautigam and husband Paul and two cherished grandchildren of Newtown; a brother and sister, niece and nephew, and great-niece and nephew of England.

Mrs Miller immigrated from England to the United States in 1961, first settling in Greenwich then in Norwalk for more than 20 years. She then lived in New Canaan before moving to Lenox. She graduated from Bridgeport School of Nursing as an RN in 1987 and continued to work as a private duty and Hospice nurse until she retired.

Her grandchildren, gardening, travel and cooking wonderful meals for her family were her favorite pastimes.

A memorial service was held on July 1 in Lenox.
