Aileen              Russill

Aileen Russill, mother of Antoinette Higgins of Sugar Lane, died on April 21 at Worthing Hospital, Worthing, West Sussex, England.

She was born in 1916 and had worked as an accountant in her younger years. She more recently was a volunteer for 27 years at the St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, West Sussex.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward “Bill” Russill, daughter Jeanette Russill, and infant daughter, Carol.

She is survived by Antoinette and her husband Bill Higgins, granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Higgins of Peaks Island, Maine, and grandson Gregory Russill Higgins of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by her very dear friends Mike and Doris Plummer of Rustington, West Sussex. Aileen referred to Mike as “her honorary nephew.”

The funeral service took place at the Chichester Crematorium on May 6 with internment at a later date at The Earnley Church in Earnley, West Sussex. Earnley is the small village where Aileen and Bill Russill resided.
