Season Finale For ACC Announced

WASHINGTON — Armstrong Chamber Concerts (ACC) will present its seasons finale concert on Saturday, May 27, at 5 pm, at First Congregational Church. Violinist Helen Armstrong, the founder and artistic director of ACC, will perform with guest artists Louise Schulman, viola; Warren Lash, cello; and Randall Hodgkinson, piano.

Ms Armstrong studied with Dorothy DeLay and Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School. She made her Lincoln Center debut in 1976 and was praised by a New York critic as a “total virtuoso, a true aristocrat of the violin.” she has appeared with the Boston Pops, Indianapolis Symphony, the New Polish Philharmonic, the Martha Graham Dance Company.

Louise Schulman is a founding member of St. Luke’s Ensemble and its principal violist.

Warren Lash has made many solo appearances with orchestras including the Buffalo Philharmonic, Houston Symphony, Wichita Symphony, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra and the Oregon Symphony.

Randall Hodgkinson has been a grand prize-winner of the International American Music Competition.

The concert program will include works of Bach (arranged by Mozart), Shostakovich and Schumann.
