Donovan Scott Bronowicz, 49, of Ansonia, died September 7. He was raised in Newtown and attended schools there.

His sister, Michelle Arsenault of Clarkson, Ky.; his stepfather, Duncan Sellars of Southbury; stepmother, Lisa Bronowicz of Santa Fe, Minn.; stepbrother, Sean Sellars; niece, former brother-in-law, cousins, and many friends, with whom he loved to ride, survive him.

His mother, Suzann Sellars, and father, Donald Bronowicz, predeceased him.

Mr Bronowicz was an active member of AA for many years, and many people benefited from his sponsorship, friendship, and loyalty. Those close to him say he never really showed his own pain because he was always trying to alleviate others’ struggles. Mr Bronowicz’s unmatched sense of humor was a hallmark of his plentiful relationships. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

His loved ones say, “Ride on in the great beyond, brother and friend!”

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
