A Ringing Success

To the Editor:

Thanks to all the devoted Salvation Army bell ringers who manned kettles this past December, to all who donated, and The Newtown Bee for its great coverage, especially Shannon Hicks.

The following businesses allowed us space for the kettles: Dunkin’ Donuts, Stop & Shop, Lexington Gardens, Yankee Discount Wine & Liquor, and Ace Hardware

The Newtown Lions Club and the Men’s Fellowship Club of the Newtown Congregational Church were huge contributors of manpower this year.

Taunton Press and its employees again donated $1,000. The Newtown Lions Club donated $1,750 this year. We acknowledge with thanks the checks and donations of all others.

We raised $9,782.34. This is more than last year and we are so grateful for the efforts of so many. Newtown appreciates all your dedication to this great cause. We wish you all a Very Healthy, Happy and Peaceful New Year.
