Newtown Volunteer Ambulance responded to 38 calls during the period January 8-14.

Medical: respiratory, 4; cardiac, 1; stroke related, 3; other seizure, 2; miscellaneous 11. Trauma: 9 vehicular; 8 non-vehicular.

Thirty persons were transported to the hospital;  8 were not transported.

Age groups: (0-8) 4; (9-21) 1; (22-60) 15; (over 60) 18.
