Mary E. Qubick

Worked For Fabric Fire Hose Co. In Sandy Hook

Mary E. Qubick, 98, of Bethany, formerly of Sandy Hook, died February 2 in the Willows-Harborside Health Care Center, Bethany. Mrs Qubick was the wife of the late Frank Qubick. She was born in New York City on April 1908, a daughter of John and Mary (Omas) Heider.

Mrs Qubick was a longtime resident of Sandy Hook and was employed by the Fabric Fire Hose Company until her retirement. She was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. She has resided in Bethany for the past six years.

Mrs Qubick is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Peck of Bethany and Marilyn Ferencek and her husband, Carl, of Southbury; two grandchildren, Alan Peck of Bethany and Deborah Carature of Ansonia; and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 5 in St Rose of Lima Church. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.

The Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, conducted the funeral.
