Rotary Clubs Offer

All-Expense-Paid Trip To Chile

If you didn’t get a chance to travel abroad during high school or college, you haven’t missed your opportunity to be a foreign exchange traveler! Applications are currently being accepted by area Rotary clubs for foreign study trips.

Any southern Connecticut professional between the ages of 25 and 40 can apply. Applicants cannot be Rotarians.

The monthlong vocational and cultural exchange program is fully paid by Rotary International Group Exchange Program. There are four slots available to professionals who have been employed in their current professions for two or more years.

Those accepted will travel to Chile next spring with a team member who is a Rotarian.

The team will depart March 19 and spend a month in a number of areas in Chile.

Past members who have traveled to various nations have called it “a chance of a lifetime experience.”

Unlike a vacation, travelers will have the opportunity to truly explore the culture firsthand.

One day each week, travelers will get to learn about and experience their profession in another society by working within a like company or firm. The trip also allows participants to make lasting personal and professional bonds with Chilean natives.

During the course of the month, travelers will stay in “Host Homes” provided by members of the local Rotary Club.

Interested persons should contact their local Rotary club president or request an application from Rotary Assistant Governor Jeff Kass at work, 203-240-3163; home; 203-775-0826; or email, JeffKass2@charter.net. All applications must be received by September 30.
