Women’s Wisdom To Be Honored

At Weekend Retreat

DANBURY — A special women-only retreat is being offered the weekend of September 21 through 23 by the Danbury-based Women’s Publishing, Inc. The weekend feature a series of presentations led by world-class leaders/presenters Patricia Dowling and the Rev Aurora Mary Kilai focusing on the theme of honoring women’s innate wisdom. The weekend’s theme will be “Honoring Our Wisdom.”

Plenty of quiet time will allow women to find the peace and serenity so often lost in the rush of everyday life. Creator/producer Sharon Hamilton describes the event as “an opportunity to take care of yourself. It’s all about comfort and camaraderie and the energizing company of other women.”

Participants may take part in activities or simply enjoy the tranquil beauty of a spectacular setting. The Delaware Center, located in Connecticut’s northwest hills and named for the Delaware Native Americans, soothes and delights the senses with remarkable vistas scattered over 108 acres of woodland, fields, streams, waterfalls, and a lake. Complete directions will be supplied upon registration.

Participants will be staying in well-maintained, heated cabins with hot showers, toilets, and electricity. Linens are provided, but participants are welcome to bring a favorite pillow, a sleeping bag, or a comfy throw for lounging.

Registration is limited to just 60 women. Advance reservations are required and may be made by contacting Women’s Publishing at 792-2070. Cost is $325 per person, which covers all programs and amenities including meals (vegetarian selections available).

Women’s Publishing, Inc, is a Danbury-based, woman-owned business that has been providing opportunities for women since 1993 by creating women-only events. Upcoming events include an “Extreme Esteem Workshop” and “Tea with the Author.” For additional information or a complete schedule of FORUM events, call 792-2070.
