Riding To Hounds
The Woodbury Litchfield Foxhounds had its inaugural meet on Sunday, October 29, and following the meet was a landownerâs appreciation luncheon at the Crown Plaza in Southbury. Woodbury Litchfield Foxhounds is dedicated to preserving and enjoying natural resources and heritage while enjoying the centuries-old country life activity of riding to hounds. Dressed in traditional formal hunting attire â gentlemen in scarlet coats and ladies in black â the group follows foxhounds as they chase an artificial scent over a dragline. The next meet will be Sunday, November 26, at 12 noon, with the Myopia Hunt club of Hamilton, Massachusetts joining. The following meet will be on Sunday, December 10.
