Clifford A. Baumann, Jr, 73, of Monroe, beloved husband of Marlene C. Westlund Baumann, died October 26 at his home. Mr Baumann was born on November 20, 1931, in Bridgeport, and was the only son of Clifford A. Baumann, Sr, and Doris Dixon Baumann.
In addition to his beloved wife of 51 years, he is survived by his three loving sons, Carl C. Baumann, Sr, of Newtown, Clifford A. Baumann III of Prospect, and Kurt C. Baumann of Monroe; and his loving daughter, Laurie D. Baumann-Tomboulides of Trumbull; and his six cherished grandchildren, Clifford A. Baumann IV, Nicolas Tomboulides, Vanessa Baumann, Carl Baumann, Jr, Dakota Baumann, and Keeley Baumann.
Mr Baumann worked at Avco Lycoming, and was the previous owner of Yankee Gun Shop, and general manager of Meriden Trading Post before his retirement. He enjoyed his life, family, and his many animals, including his beloved dog, Maggie. He will be sadly missed by family and friends, and will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and love of animals and antique cars. Mr Baumann was a member of the NRA, Stratford Gun Collectors, the Nutmeg Gun Collectors, and the Little Club.
The family will receive friends at the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home 315 Monroe Turnpike, on Friday, October 28, from 4 to 8 pm, with a memorial service at 7:30 pm Friday. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
