Putnam Park, Cruson Book Talk June 16

REDDING — On Saturday, June 16, at 3 pm, Newtown resident and local historian Dan Cruson will give a talk about his 2011 book, Putnam’s Revolutionary War Winter Encampment, which details the history of the state park from the 1778-79 Revolution War encampment of 3,000 Colonial troops in what is now Putnam Park.

The talk will be in the Visitors Center of the park, at the junction of Routes 107 and 58. Copies of the book will be available and a book signing will follow the talk.
