Rider University, Lawrenceville, N.J., recently announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the deanâs list for the spring semester at the university. Area residents on that list were Julia Pendagast, a political science major, and Megan Pendagast, an English major.
Sandy Hook resident Mitchell Bloomberg was named on the deanâs list for Bentley University, Waltham, Mass. To be named to the deanâs list at the university a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.
Chloe Rosen of Newtown graduated from Dean College in Franklin, Mass. Chloe received a liberal studies associate degree.

Ryan Korth of Newtown was recently named to the honor roll for the spring term at Pomfret School. A student earns honors with a 3.0 average and no grade below a B-, according to the school.
Emma Iannini of Sandy Hook was among 240 seniors at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford who graduated at the schoolâs 122nd Commencement on June 3. Emma graduated cum laude and was awarded the Choate Rosemary Hall Prize for excellence in the study of political science. She plans to attend Georgetown University in the fall.
