Dorothy          Carbone

Dorothy Helen (Ptacek) Carbone, 79, of Sandy Hook, died November 23 at her home with her daughter at her side. She was the widow of Charles L. Carbone.

Mrs Carbone was born April 24, 1925, in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Kistner) Ptacek,.

For 25 years, Mrs Carbone worked for Davis & Geck, a medical supply company in Danbury. An antique glass collector and dealer, she owned, with her daughter, the Gothic Victorian Antique Shop in Woodbury.

She was a member of the Newtown Senior Center, and loved cats and traveling.

She is survived by her daughter, Dione Hutton of Woodbury; a sister, Emily Cali of Oswego, N.Y.; and one granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, Keith F. Carbone.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, January 7, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street. A remembrance service will be held at 6 pm.

Burial will be private.
