William J. DeMenna

William J. DeMenna, 85, of Monroe, beloved husband of Mary Forlano DeMenna, died May 5 at his home. Mr DeMenna was born in Bridgeport, and was the son of Anthony and Theresa Esposito DeMenna.

 Survivors include his loving wife Mary of 22 years; one son, Gary, and his wife, Mary DeMenna, of Newtown; four daughters and their husbands, Wendy and Philip Tabella of Newtown, Judith and Louis Schuchman of Monroe, Kathy and Robert Wesche of Glenwood, N.J., and Janis and Charles Simko of Milford; his stepchildren and their spouses, Albert and Diane Forlano, Marlene and Donald Scialla, and Robbin and Jim Withington. He also leaves 14 cherished grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His first wife, Dorothy Singer DeMenna, predeceased Mr DeMenna.

He was a retired route salesman for Star Drug Distributors. He also worked for Cascade Laundry. His last place of employment was for Massey Analytical Labs, in Shelton. He was an avid Yankee and UConn fan. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

 Funeral services took place on May 10 in St Stephen Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
