Choral Society Rehearsals

Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, will begin its winter concert rehearsals Wednesday, September 19, at 7 pm, at Newtown Middle School, 11 Queen Street.  The concert is set for December 1, at 7:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House.  

The Choral Society, now in its 26th year, welcomes members from all area towns and of all ages, who love to sing. Contact Laura Lerman at 203-426-3769 or lel-choirs2@se-ltd.com for more information. There are openings in all voices, although the director will be assigning positions.

The choir’s major piece for the winter concert will be Z. Randall Stroope’s “Hodie” (“This Day”), a piece for mixed voices, percussion and organ. The group also performs a spring concert.
