Hasta La Vistaâs 5, American Eagles 1: For the Hasla La Vistaâs, Emily Booth, Pip Gamble and Kaitlin McNichols scored goals in the first half of the contest, while Bridget McDonald and Keira Veillette held the American Eagles at bay in defense. The second half brought a penalty kick score by Gamble and a shot in by Sophia Albano. Supportive offensive positioning was maintained by Emily Toby and Laura Malin. For the American Eagles, Grace Sholtes, Calista Giroux and Greta Capeci played very well in midfield, as Kaysie Fisher played well in the forward slot, with a couple of nice shots on net. Morgan Goldstein scored the lone tally for the Eagles as the game was coming to a close late in the second half. The Eagles net was protected by the nice play of Savannah Davidow, while Sarah Simenson, Molly Begg and Willow Pears were solid on the defensive side of the pitch throughout the contest.
Ninjas 3, No Names 0: In a hard-fought game between two determined teams, the Ninjas prevailed 3-0. Sarah Brittin opened the scoring for the Ninjas on an expertly taken shot that found the upper right-hand corner of the goal. Joanelle Tran followed with two goals. The first was the result of a pass from Katerina Ringes that sent Tran on a 30-yard breakaway that she neatly finished with a hard, low shot, and 25 second later, Tran one-timed a perfect pass from Ringes for her second goal. Hanna Bigwarfe, Emma Brantl, Megan Cooney and Jessica Cruz controlled the midfield with their tireless play, while Olivia Butler and Rachel Tomasino led the Ninjasâ defensive effort with several well-timed tackles and strong positional play. Haley Taylor, Sarah MacMullan and Jillian Milano preserved the shutout with several incredible saves in goal. For the No Names, Vanessa Tucker, Callie Kraushaar, and Melissa Shohet gave an outstanding defensive effort supporting Caroline Cole in goal. Midfielders Maddie Martin, Diana Akiri and Jaclyn OâLeary were aggressive moving the ball up the field to forwards Grace Frost and Rachel Jacuzzi for many scoring opportunities.
Ninjas 1, Wild Animals 1: In a highly anticipated rematch of two motivated teams, the Ninjas and the Wild Animals battled to a 1-1 tie. The Ninjas fell behind early with Kelsey Miller making a great shot to the bottom left hand side of the goal. The players continued with great energy and perseverance paid off for the Ninjaâs as Katerina Ringes intercepted a goal kick with 45 seconds left and buried it into the upper left hand corner of the goal to secure the tie. The goaltending tandem of Taylor Clomiro and Haley Taylor kept the game close with their stellar saves and booming punts. Sarah Brittin, Jillian Milano, Jordan Williams and Joanelle Tran led the offense with several great scoring opportunities, while Olivia Butler and Allie Reczek thwarted several would-be scoring chances with their precision tackling. The tireless midfield play of Emma Brantl, Megan Cooney, Hanna Bigwarfe and Rachael DiCristina led to several turnovers and counterattacks for the Ninjas. For the Wild Animal (Prints) strong defense was played by Kayla Disiblio, Margo Elkins and Lexie Badick. In goal, Camryn Findley, Elkins, Kiernan Kelly and Badick defended many shots on goal.
Ninjas 2, Wild Animals 0: A determined Ninjas team defeated the hardworking Wild Animals in an exciting match. Hanna Bigwarfe opened the scoring for the Ninjas eight minutes into the game on an assist from Joanelle Tran. Haley Taylor followed with a goal five minutes into the second half on an assist from the Jordan Williams. Olivia Butler, Megan Cooney, Rachael DiCristina and Katerina Ringes controlled the midfield with their accurate passing and energetic play. Sarah Brittin, Taylor Clomiro, Jillian Milano, Allie Reczek and Rachel Tomasino preserved the shutout with their strong positional defense and aggressive tackling, while Haley Taylor, Sarah MacMullan and Emma Brantl made several dazzling saves in goal. For the Wild Animal prints, Madison Findley and Roadrunner Row played solid offense with many shots on goal. Natalie Shaker played a critical role in ball control and field position for the Wild Animal Prints. Megan Nahmias, Brianna Alves and Danielle Scarpa played tough defense deflecting the ball to outer perimeter.

Team Four 6, Lego Guys 2: The Lego guys had a tough game against Team 4 losing 6-2. Goals were scored by Andrew Jacobs after an amazing run at the goal. Gregory Gargano scored a second goal with an assist from Andrew Jacobs. Justin Zemo had a near miss goal the hit off the far post. The offense was augmented by Dillion Geiling, Matthew Jacobs, Joe Tartaglia and Julian Totir. There was many saves on goal by Brendan Adams, and the defensive was anchored by Charlie Sepp and Ian Moore and Angelo Lamanna. Both teams played hard in the last game of the season.

Titans 3, Bethel 2: The Titans trailed 2-0 at halftime before coming back. Thomas Skrelja started off the second half by scoring Newtownâs first goal. Irwin excelled on defense as did Wally Skrelja who was celebrating his award sweep during the end of season celebration. Jack Armstrong played aggressively as did Jack Oltran, despite his playing with a cast on his hand. Michael Greenspan did not disappoint with his incredible speed to the ball and Aiden OâLeary followed suit and played well. Grant Larsen was at the right place at the right time throughout the game. Nick Weiland had some impressive headers. Daniel Arneth scored the second goal. Christian Adam, John Finnegan, Grant Moxham and James Barden all played hard. Henry Petrillo, with his long strides, was consistently taking the ball down the field. Daniel Arneth broke the tie with a spectacular goal late in the game. JT Lewis played well in goal with several crowd-pleasing saves.
Following the game was a scrimmage versus the parents and siblings. Both sides faced off with a ferocious determination to win. Dr Larry Forgacs and Michael Greenspan were in the goals. John Armstrong scored the first goal against the Titans. Nick Weiland, Jack Oltran and JT Lewis followed with goals for the Titans. Jeff Larson scored the second goal against the Titans, and was assisted by Hariender Grewal. Frank Skrelja scored a well-placed goal and showed why his two sons are such good players. Elizabeth Adam and Michelle Greenspan both displayed their knowledge of soccer, perhaps because they are team managers. Bob Comfort bravely faced off with Coach Dave Flook and a battle of the ball ensured with the victor still in question afterwards. Trevor Oltran was dynamic and played the entire field, the entire game, impressing and tiring his fans at the same time. Gary Grewal, Kristen Larson, Matt Petrillo and Mark and Jackie Barden all played well. Daniel Barden took a penalty kick at the end of the game, the result of the refereeâs call of unnecessary roughness on the parentâs behalf, for the final goal of the season.
