Arthur J. Wendell

Arthur J. Wendell, 95, of Newtown, formerly of Bridgeport, died May 25 in the Danbury Hospital.

Mr Wendell was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident. He was a retired draftsman for Manis Metals. He was a member of the Stepney Baptist Church.

He was the widower of Doris Gamwell Wendell.

Survivors include his daughter, Doreen Baker of Monroe, and two sons, David Wendell of Port Hadlock, Wash., and Richard Wendell of Seattle; and one brother, Harry Thorell of California; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held May 31 in the Larson Funeral Home, Bridgeport. Burial was in Mt Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
