RIDGEFIELD â Stepping Stone Farm in Ridgefield once again is offering its Summer Horsemanship Program for young riders.
In its 30th year, the Program is run by Janie Weber, owner and director of Stepping Stone Farm, which is located on one of the oldest and most scenic country estates in Ridgefield. Mrs Weber is a forner state jumping champion.
Each day, young riders will see about 90 minutes of formal horseback riding lessons, following by ground instruction in the riding ring. Following the ring instruction, there will be either arts and crafts or stable management (horse care and maintenance, grooming and horse anatomy).

There will be beginner, advanced beginner and intermediate riding classes under the tutelage of Kathy Fogg, Erin Cloherty, Linda Ryan, Rebecca Dichter and Laura Johnson. Camp hours will be 9 am to 2 pm, with lunch and a short swim from 1 to 2 pm.
Five, two-week sessions will start July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 12. Cost is $550 per session with a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot. All riders must be at least seven years of age. Call 1-203-438-7749 for further information.
