Thanks From Iraq

To the Editor:

On behalf of my son, US Marine Corporal Daniel Williams, I’d like to send a heart-felt thank you to George Hamilakis of Dodgingtown Market and Deli for taking donations and sending packages to our local troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I spoke with my son recently from Iraq, and he and the rest of his unit wanted to thank everyone who donated all the gifts and goodies; he said it was “awesome.” These young men and woman truly appreciate receiving gifts and letters from home. I would also like to thank all the members of VFW Post 308, and everyone who keeps our troops in their thoughts and prayers for a safe return home.
