*No tickets yet, but the other Queen of Teen, that being young miss CHRISTINA AGUILERA, will be at The Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford on Friday, September 1. That will very likely be one of the final shows of the summer at the amphitheatre, which closes down for the winter months. Her bookend opposite, BRITNEY SPEARS, will be at the venue June 21; tickets are selling already for that show.
Also at The Meadows, on Saturday, June 24, will be this summerâs incarnation of the radio 104 fest. Anyone who listens to the radio station with Dee Snider as its morning host cannot not know that; the station has reminders and ticket giveaways every ten minutes or so. But for anyone who skips that station and has managed to miss the news as of yet, the event on the 24th will feature 30 bands, with CREED as the main headliner. Tickets are $43.50 for the pavilion area, $30 for the lawn. The band list to date also includes SEVENDUST, 3 DOORS DOWN, KOTTONMOUTH KINGS, EVE 6, THE AMAZING CROWNS, SHADES APART, DEATHRAY, ELWOOD, BOWLING FOR SOUP, MILE, MIKE ERRICO and PAT McGEE. As I said, the bad list will number 30 by the day of the event, and doors will open that morning at 10 am.
*I didnât even know â and this isnât me trying at sarcasm â MR BIG was still even together, but apparently it is. The band will be at Toadâs Place in New Haven on Tuesday, June 6. Jonny Law and Chain Reaction both have opening sets for the all ages show.
Also coming to Toadâs Place, albeit in a few months, will be LITTLE FEAT. Tickets are $20 in advance and will be $25 at the door for the bandâs Tuiesday, August 22 appearance in New Haven. No opener has been announced yet.
Until next week, Iâll be seeing you... on the road.
