Criminal Trespassing
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Steven Reeve, 33, of New Milford went to the police station on the morning of February 27 and was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing in connection with an incident that had occurred in December, police said.
Police said they had warned Reeve on December 22 to stay off a private property on Old Green Road, but Reeve went onto that property on December 25, resulting in police seeking the arrest warrant for him.
After processing, police released Reeve on $500 bail for a March 12 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Two Crashes
About 9:59 pm February 27, police responded to a report of a one-car accident on Toddy Hill Road, near its intersection with Marlin Road.
Police said motorist Bianca Bazante, 19, of Westport was driving a 2007 Honda Accord southward on a snowy, slippery Toddy Hill Road, when she lost control of the vehicle and then struck some guardrailing, a large rock, and a drain cover. Bazante was not injured.
Police issued her a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
As police were investigating the Honda accident about 10:15 pm, police witnessed motorist Michael Paniccia, 25, of Bridgeport driving a 2000 Nissan Sentra southward on Toddy Hill Road. The Nissan encountered an icy area on the roadway and went out of control on a curve, colliding with a tree stump along the right road shoulder, police said.
Paniccia was not injured. Police issued Paniccia a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Police additionally issued Paniccia a violation for driving with a suspended license. Police released Paniccia on a written promise to appear on March 13 in Danbury Superior Court.
Route 34 Crash
A two-vehicle collision occurred on Route 34 at its intersection with Pole Bridge Road about 6:46 pm February 23.
In that accident, motorist Charles Steck-Ferris, Jr, 18, of 329 Berkshire Road, who was driving a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, struck the rear end of a 1999 Volkswagen Passat driven by Benjamin Martinez, 18, of 29 Mountain Manor Road, police said.
There were no injuries. Steck-Ferris received an infraction for traveling an unreasonable distance apart, and Martinez received an infraction for having defective turn signals, police said.
Mazda Vs Pontiac
A two-vehicle collision occurred at the busy intersection of Wasserman Way and Berkshire Road in Sandy Hook about 12:24 pm February 29.
After traveling northward on Berkshire Road, motorist Gina Istvan, 38, of Danbury, who was driving a 2007 Mazda CX-7, started making a left turn to enter westbound Wasserman Way, police said.
At that time, motorist Alan Ritchie, 16, of 3 Bradley Lane, who was driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix coupe, was waiting for a red traffic signal to change while in the eastbound lane of Wasserman Way, police said.
As the Mazda made the left turn, it entered the eastbound lane of Wasserman Way and struck the Pontiac, police said. There were no injuries.
Police verbally warned Istvan for failure to drive to the right.
Motorcycle Accident
Police report a collision involving a lightweight motorcycle and a sport-utility vehicle at the intersection of Walnut Tree Hill Road and Shepaug Road about 12:49 pm February 20.
Motorist Bernadette Baranowski, 41, of 4 Overlook Knoll, who was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty SUV, was stopped and waiting at a stop sign on Shepaug Road, as Daniel Warner-Crouch, 17, of 77 Riverside Road was driving a 2002 Honda CR-80-R motorcycle northward on Walnut Tree Hill Road, police said.
The motorcyclist then attempted to make a turn onto Shepaug Road, but drove into the SUV, police said.
Warner-Crouch received a scraped hand and a scraped leg in the accident, police said. Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps members treated him at the scene. Police issued Warner-Crouch an infraction ticket for making an improper turn.

Hazardous Intersection
Motorist Jen Dion, 39, of 9 Hemlock Road, who was driving a 2005 Mazda MPV minivan southward on Queen Street about 5:15 pm February 29, attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Mile Hill Road, police said.
At that time, motorist Rob Comfort, 64, of Milford, who was driving a 2007 Honda Civic sedan eastward on Mile Hill Road, was attempting to make a left turn onto northbound Queen Street, police said.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Dion received a written warning for failure to obey a stop sign, police said. Comfort received a written warning for failure to carry a current automotive insurance identification card, according to police.
Alcohol Charges
Police report they served two arrest warrants against Erich Dinnan, 19, of 23 Lake Road on the morning of March 3.
Police charged Dinnan with two counts of failure to respond to an infraction and with two counts of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. The two alcohol-related incidents occurred last year, according to police. Following both incidents, Dinnan did not respond to the charges, police said.
After processing the arrest, police released Dinnan on $317 bail for a March 18 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Sandy Hook Accident
While driving a 1992 Buick Regal westward near 101 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook Center about 5:17 pm February 19, motorist Susan Cummings, 73, of 16-D Nunnawauk Road became inattentive and struck the curbing along the right side of the road, after which the auto struck a small tree, police said.
Cummings was not injured. Police said they issued Cummings a written warning for making a restricted turn.
Boulevard Extension
About 9:52 pm February 21, motorist Alexandra Stevens, 17, of 115 Currituck Road was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero northward on The Boulevard Extension, but did not notice a curve in the road ahead of her, police said.
The vehicle crossed the roadâs centerline and then went off the southbound road shoulder, striking a metal-beam guardrail, police said. Stevens was not injured. Police verbally warned her for failure to drive to the right.
Nissan Vs Ford
About 5:32 pm March 4, motorist Chacko Samuel, 66, of Bridgeport, who was driving a 2003 Nissan Murano westward on Schoolhouse Hill Road, attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Main Street, as motorist Peter Shaffer, 39, of Brookfield was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus northward on Main Street, police said.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police gave Samuel a written warning for failure to obey a stop sign.
Home Improvement
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, David M. Brown, 47, of Monroe went to the police station on the afternoon of March 3 and was charged with failure to refund payment for home improvements within ten days.
Danbury Superior Court had issued the warrant against Brown on February 26, following an investigation conducted by the state attorney generalâs office, police said.
Police released Brown on a written promise to appear in court on March 18.
Hawleyville Collision
Police report a two-car accident on Hawleyville Road near the Hawleyville Post Office about 7:41 am March 3.
Motorist Giuseppe Toscano, 38, of Monroe, who was driving a 1995 Subaru Impreza coupe, stopped the vehicle and was then struck from behind by motorist Joseph Coates, 21, of 26 Longview Terrace, who was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix sedan, police said.
There were no injuries. Coates received a written warning for following too closely, police said. Â
Traffic Signal
Motorist Kathleen Brown, 59, of Salisbury, Mass, who was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, was stopped for a red traffic signal on westbound Hawleyville Road at its intersection with Mt Pleasant Road about 1:10 pm March 2, when the Chevrolet was struck from behind by motorist Meredith Rosco, 25, of Brookfield, who was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Rosco for following too closely.
Volvo Vs Deer
Motorist Linda Schwartz, 40, of 45 Charter Ridge Road was driving a 2007 Volvo XC-90 eastward near 165 Berkshire Road about 7 pm March 2, when a deer ran across the road, resulting in a collision, after which the deer ran off, police said.
Schwartz was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Currituck Road
Motorist Shirley Crouch, 69, of 2 Papoose Hill Road was driving a 1995 Mercury Sable southward near 116 Currituck Road about 4 pm March 4, when a deer ran onto the road, resulting in a collision, police report. Crouch was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
