Doing The Work Of The People

To the Editor:

As you may know last month I ran for a seat on the Newtown Police Commission. There were seven candidates running for three open positions on a five-member commission. The results of the election were that I received significantly more votes than any other candidate and was seated as of December 1. I was humbled (yes, I was ) and honored by the results.

Last night we held our first meeting of the newly constituted commission and I am happy to report that I was elected chairman of the commission.

Now on to doing the work of the people.
