Joseph H. Letourneau

US Air Force Veteran

Joseph H. Letourneau, 75, brother of Irene L. McCarthy of Newtown, died November 16 in Marathon Health Care, Torrington. He was born in Pawtucket, R.I., April 20, 1932, a son of Joseph and Doria (Laporte) Letourneau.

 Mr Letourneau served in the US Air Force for more than 20 years and was stationed at Air Force bases all over the world. He retired with the rank of sergeant.

In addition to his sister Irene and her husband, Dennis, of Newtown, survivors include a son, Joseph Letourneau and his wife, Denise, serving in the US Army stationed in Utah; two daughters, Doria Haddadin of Spring Hill, N.J., and Jennifer Goodman of Florida; a sister, Edna R. Markey of Pawtucket, R.I.; and three nephews; three nieces; five great-nieces; and three great-nephews.

 Funeral services were held November 20 from the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown, and in St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors was in State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
