Curtis Packaging Promotes

John Giusto

Curtis Packaging, a Newtown-based packaging design and printing facility, has promoted John Giusto to senior vice president of manufacturing.

Mr Giusto has served as VP of manufacturing for the past three years at Curtis. He is responsible for all of the company’s manufacturing groups, including prepress, printing, cutting, finishing, and warehousing. He also oversees continuous improvement, quality control and statistical control programs.

“During the last three years, Curtis Packaging has experienced unprecedented growth in terms of technology, capabilities, output, and revenue,” notes Donald R. Droppo, chairman and CEO of Curtis Packaging. “John’s leadership, technical knowledge, and overall business acumen have helped drive our success in those key areas. He has significantly helped us raise Curtis Packaging to a higher level, as one of the premier luxury packaging printers and converters in the nation. He so richly deserves to be operating at a higher level in terms of his outstanding career.”

Mr Giusto had more than 40 years of manufacturing experience in the package printing industry before joining Curtis in April 2004. Prior to his arrival, he served for 11 years as vice president of manufacturing at Inland Consumer Packaging, where he was responsible for the Litho-Laminate operations.

Before starting his assignment at Inland, Mr Giusto worked for 30 years with Heminway Packaging, a leading manufacturer of high-end folding cartons. During his distinguished career there, he held a series of senior level manufacturing positions.

“John has a stellar track record of using his experience and creativity to relentlessly innovate on press,” adds Mr Droppo.
