PRINT CLUB OF ALBANY ANNOUNCES SIZEABLE DONATION OF PRINTS

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Print Club of Albany has received a significant large collection of prints donated by a Midwestern collector. The collection comprises some 3,000 prints, drawings and painting.

Some of the artists include Alex Katz, Peter Hurd, Chryssa, Itschak Tarkay, George Tooker, Peter Max, Terry Haass, Frank Gallo, Alan D’Archangelo, Leonor Fini, Sandro Chia, Rene Gruau, Lowell Nesbitt and many others. These prints will be used for exhibitions and research.

The Print Club of Albany has a permanent collection of nearly 15,000 prints, drawings and plates. It ranges from prints of the Fifteenth Century to the present and in subjects ranging from realistic to impressionist to abstract.

The Print Club of Albany, a nonprofit corporation, was founded in 1933. Each year, the club has commissioned noteworthy artists for an annual print. It also offers programs and exhibitions.
